1. Information We Collect
StickerCut does not require an account and never collects your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information. However, we use two Firebase services that collect limited, anonymized technical data:
- Firebase Analytics — collects anonymized usage data such as which screens are viewed, which features are used, app version, device model, and operating system version.
- Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash reports including the device state, app state, and stack trace at the time of a crash. This data does not include your photos or any personal information.
We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any personally identifiable information.
2. Photos & Images
StickerCut requests access to your photo library solely to allow you to select an image to edit. Specifically:
- Images you select are loaded directly on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
- All AI processing (background removal, shape crop, outline generation) is performed entirely on-device — using Apple's Core ML framework on iOS, and ONNX Runtime on Android.
- When you export a sticker, it is saved to your photo library or a folder you choose — again, only on your device.
- We have no access to any images you process.
3. On-Device AI Processing
Background removal is powered by the U2Net model running locally — via Core ML on iPhone and iPad, and via ONNX Runtime on Android devices. No image data is ever sent to external servers for processing.
4. Purchases (App Store & Google Play)
StickerCut offers an optional one-time Premium purchase — via Apple's StoreKit framework on iOS, and via Google Play Billing on Android. When you make a purchase:
- The transaction is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play).
- We do not receive or store your payment information.
- We receive only a confirmation that a purchase was made, which is verified on-device.
For details on how your payment information is handled, please see Apple's Privacy Policy or Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Firebase Analytics
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with StickerCut. This helps us identify which features are most useful and where improvements are needed. Firebase Analytics collects:
- Screen views and feature usage events (e.g., "background removed", "sticker exported")
- Device model, operating system version (iOS or Android), and app version
- Session duration and general usage patterns
- A randomly generated instance ID (not linked to your identity)
Firebase Analytics does not collect your name, email, photos, or location. On Android, StickerCut does not use the Advertising ID: the AD_ID permission is removed from the app and advertising-ID collection is disabled in Firebase. Data is processed by Google and subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Firebase Crashlytics
We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to detect and diagnose app crashes. When the app crashes, Crashlytics automatically sends a report containing:
- The crash stack trace (which line of code caused the crash)
- Device model, operating system version (iOS or Android), and app version
- App state at the time of the crash (e.g., available memory, foreground/background)
- A randomly generated installation ID
Crash reports do not contain your photos, personal information, or any content you have created. Data is processed by Google and subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
7. Children's Privacy
StickerCut does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not contain any data collection mechanisms, making it safe for all ages.
8. Third-Party Services
StickerCut uses the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase Analytics — usage analytics. Google Privacy Policy
- Google Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting. Google Privacy Policy
- Apple App Store — app distribution and payment processing on iOS. Apple Privacy Policy
- Google Play — app distribution and payment processing on Android. Google Privacy Policy
We do not integrate with any advertising networks or social media SDKs, and we do not use the Advertising ID on either platform.
9. Data Retention
Analytics and crash data collected via Firebase is retained by Google for up to 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted. Sticker files you create remain solely on your device and are subject to your own storage management.
10. International Data Transfers
Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data is processed on Google's servers, which may be located in the United States or other countries. By using StickerCut, you consent to the transfer of this anonymized technical data to Google's infrastructure. Google maintains appropriate safeguards under applicable data protection law.
11. Your Rights
We do not collect personally identifiable information, so there is no personal profile to access, correct, or delete. If you wish to remove sticker files, delete them from your photo library or the folder you saved them to.
12. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you through an app update. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
